Thanksgiving is a time to appreciate God for His goodness, protection, and provision.

As Christians, every day is a time to give thanks to God.

​

Psalm 111: 1-5, tells us why we should praise God:

​

1 Praise the Lord. I will extol the Lord with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly.

​

2 Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them.

3 Glorious and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endures forever.

4 He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and compassionate.
 

5 He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. [NIV].

 

1 Chronicles 16:34 says, "O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; For his mercy endureth for ever." [KJV].

 

1 Thessalonians 5:18 declares, "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." [KJV].

 

So as you gather together with family and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving Day, remember to show kindness to someone who may not have the privilege of such fellowship.
